Project introduction: BoZhong(BZ)25-1 Oilfield Multiphase Subsea Pipeline from Platform WHPE to WHPD.
Bozhong 25-1 Oilfield is located in the southern waters of Bohai Bay and jointly developed by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and ChevronTexaco from the United States. The field is equipped with a sophisticated integrated production system consisting of supporting wellhead platforms, a production auxiliary platform, an offshore Floating Production, Storage and Offloading unit (FPSO) and subsea pipelines. In 2024, the oilfield achieved a record-high daily incremental oil output via technical solutions including separate layer allocation and profile control & displacement operations. In the same year, new-built platforms conducted new well drilling works to expand production capacity, and component retrofitting was carried out on the existing BZ25-1 WHCP platform. A joint technical team was formed for the project. The team innovatively adopted a 36-well-slot modular structure in the wellhead platform design, lifting the drilling capacity of a single platform by a substantial 40%.
