Mainly used in oil and gas transportation pipelines, building pile foundations, bridge engineering and other fields, it has significant cost advantages in industrial scenarios due to its high welding strength and wear resistance characteristics.

Oil and gas transportation:   As a material for the construction of the main pipeline network, it can withstand a maximum working pressure of 20MPa.

Building structure:   Used for non load bearing support structures such as pipe piles and bridge piers, but not for recycled concrete load-bearing systems.

Municipal engineering:   Spiral welded pipes are widely used in the construction of urban water supply and drainage pipelines.

Spiral Welded Steel Pipes

Spiral welded steel pipes are durable piping solutions. They engineered for the efficient transport of fluids, gases and other industrial media across a wide range of applications. Unlike straight welded or seamless pipes, spiral welded steel pipes are manufactured by rolling steel strips into a cylindrical shape and joining the edges with a helical weld. They provide consistent wall thickness, structural integrity and flexibility for industrial and process systems.

Their standardized diameters and wall thicknesses allow for easy integration with flanged, threaded or welded connections.Under demanding operational conditions, they ensure secure and reliable joints. They used in low  to high pressure systems, spiral welded steel pipes can be produced from carbon steel, stainless steel or custom alloys. They meet specific environmental, chemical or temperature requirements.

For applications requiring enhanced durability or pressure resistance, spiral welded steel pipes are compatible with reinforced fittings, expansion joints and specialized flanges. Under mechanical stress, vibration and thermal cycles, they offer long term reliability and performance.Spiral welded steel pipes conforming to ANSI,DIN and other international piping standards. As we know that spiral welded steel pipes provide durable, cost effective and high performance solutions for fluid transport, industrial pipelines and critical infrastructure projects.

Product application

Due to powerful comprehensive performance and wide practicality for flange products, they have been applied in many engineering fields. The application areas include light and heavy industry, petrochemicals, offshore oil, shipbuilding, drainage, water supply, construction, pipelines, fire protection, power, aerospace.

①  What are spiral welded steel pipes and how do they work?

Spiral welded steel pipes are pipes manufactured by rolling steel strips into a cylindrical shape and joining the edges with a helical weld. They are designed to transport fluids, gases or other industrial media efficiently in low  to high pressure systems. They can be connected using flanged, welded or threaded fittings. They can be safely integrated into industrial pipe networks.Spiral welding and consistent wall thickness provide reliable and leak free performance. It can maintain structural integrity under harsh operating conditions. They provide durable and uniform pipes for fluid or gas flow. The spiral welded steel pipes are suitable for process lines, distribution systems and general industrial pipelines.

②  What are the important advantages of using spiral welded steel pipes?

Spiral welded steel pipes offer cost efficiency, flexibility in size and high flow capacity. They are a good choice for water, gas, oil and industrial pipelines.Their spiral weld provides uniform strength and durability for low to high pressure systems. As we know that standardized dimensions and longer lengths enable faster, easier installation with minimal on-site welding. They ensure reliable long term performance in a wide range of infrastructure and process applications.

③  In which applications are spiral welded steel pipes suitable?

Spiral welded steel pipes aren't good choice for ultra high pressure or extremely high temperature systems. They are suitable for standard to moderately demanding applications. As we know that large diameter fluid or gas transport is needed with efficiency and reliability. When cost effectiveness, flexibility in pipe size and ease of installation are important.Spiral welded steel pipes provide a practical solution. They are used in water and wastewater pipelines, oil and gas transport, industrial process lines, irrigation networks and general infrastructure projects. They offer durable performance, high flow capacity and simplified installation.

④  When are spiral welded steel pipes not the good choice for my project?

Spiral welded steel pipes aren't the good choice for projects involving extremely high pressure or ultra high temperature systems.Because standard spiral welds may be prone to stress related deformation or leakage. As we know that compared to seamless or reinforced pipes, they have limited resistance to severe vibration, surge or highly dynamic flow conditions. They are suitable for applications with strong mechanical stress, turbulence or critical safety requirements. The use of spiral welded pipes may reduce reliability or cause premature wear.Spiral welded pipes aren't suitable for use if appropriate engineering modifications aren't made.

⑤  What are the steps to install spiral welded steel pipes?

To install spiral welded steel pipes, first we should ensure the pipe ends are clean, smooth and free of debris or burrs. Then we should position the pipe in line with the existing system or adjacent pipe section.Next we should slide the appropriate flange, coupling or gasket connection without applying excessive force. We need to adjust the pipe and connection to properly align bolt holes or welding points. We should insert and tighten bolts in a cross pattern to evenly distribute pressure. We should perform continuous welding along the seam to ensure a strong, leak proof seal. Finally, before commissioning the system,we should inspect the installation to confirm correct alignment, joint integrity and sealing.
